You waited the whole film for the aliens to show... The Discography

Here's an exciting list of pretty much everything I've ever released, complete with methods of buying the more recent specimens.

Please note that FaceOmeter music is now available through several digital distributors, including iTunes and Amazon. Please show your support by downloading!

To Infinitives Split (2009)

Recorded between 2005 and 2009, 'To Infinitives Split' is the first FaceOmeter release which has a real barcode on the back. Whoa.

featuring The Dapper Swindler, MC Lars, The Hectic Eclectic Folk Choir and many more!

tracklist 'Everybody's Alright', 'Settling In', 'Existentialism on Folk Night', 'A Strange Visitor', 'Shaking Sabres', 'Song for the Summer', 'Stuffed Animals', 'Californian Styled #2', 'The Irritating Maze', 'Settling In #2'

FaceOmeter's debut LP, the result of years of strife and adventure, comes packed with french designers, giant ducks, interplanetary sailors and post-punk hip-hop.

You can get the record digitally from FaceOmeter - To Infinitives Split. But if you want a physical copy:

Written and recorded over five months in Vancouver, Birmingham and Exeter, this record features Max Jones (track 3 collaborator), Johnny Brocklehurst (co-producer) and Sophie Hamlet (extra vocals on track 2) Campfire Songs (2006)

tracklist 'Introduction', 'Bad Calendar', 'Cosmic Picaresque', 'An Epiphany'

An EP consisting of four narrative songs, this is the record of three diverse and interesting strangers passing a rain storm by telling each other actual true & factual stories around a Campfire.

The Garrag Sessions (2004)

Les Sessiones Garrag were recorded in June 2004 in about 20 days during which we were both working full time. The songs were all written in the Jardin and recorded in Max's Garage, hence the name.

with Max Jones

tracklist 'It's like being behind Enemy Lines', 'Piste Cyclisme', 'Flat Gravity Theory', 'Hazy Recollection (Local Election)'

A look at childhood, youth, school and science crafted with the inestimable Jones.

Mojave Hut was a labour of love and hate and the result is an equally mixed bag. It took about half a year to assemble these godawful 4track recordings but the songs in them still form the backbone of the fO live set. Mojave Hut (2003)

tracklist 'Sofa Loafer', 'How about Pasta with Tomato and Basil Sauce?', 'Model Village', 'Californian Styled', 'Quality, Dental Coverage', 'Velvet Octopus'

A recording of some of the hardcore FaceOmeter classics, involving Hamsters, friendship, junk mail and the other things we have to face. Atrociously low quality but for the most part good songs (except track 2).

What if you were trapped in an evil carnival? (2002)

The whole thing was done in 5 days - it was the challenge I set myself. Given the 'bad patch' I was going through and the amount of actual skill I had at the time, the rest was inevitable really.

tracklist 'DK', 'Space Rocket', 'Puppies', 'Jeremy Goring', 'Sunshine through Long Hair'

An almost laughably dire instrumental tribute to R.L.Stine featuring more random sound effects and drum machines than you could shake a stick at if you hadn't already passed out from the sheer rubbishness of this disturbing record.

4. Two-Minute Roadtrip (AHBP)
5. Lauren (Live at King Ludd's)
6. William Blake: A Life (Live at King Ludd's)
Made for the Imminent Death Iberian Experience tour, these CDs are a mix of unmastered material from the forthcoming To Infinitives Split and rare live recordings designed to satiate the Spanish and Portugese thirst for FaceOmeter. 71 hand-numbered copies exist. Tracks 1, 2, 4 and 5 feature The Dapper Swindler. Track 1 features Lizzie Parle.

'Absolut Demo'
1. Mellow Drama
2. Cosmic Picaresque
3. Stuffed Animals
As of mid-2007, when venues get the attack of the unsolicited demo from camp FaceOmeter, this is what they're listening to. The tracks, which variously feature Lizzie Parle and Max Jones, have been remastered by John Jones (no relation) for that special extra feeling.

2. Hazy Recollection (Local Election) (Car Sessions) (Brackets are Great)
3. Mellow Drama
4. Two Minute Roadtrip (AHBP)
5. More Banter (Lethargic Songsters)
6. Inspiration Everywhere (And Not a Drop to Drink)
This taylor-made CD as sold at the Jug of Ale on the 24th of August 2006. Speedily decorated in a variety of awful hand-designs, 20 copies exist. Max Jones features on every track, and Lizzie Parle is on track 3.

'...and we're walking'
1. Everybody's Alright
2. It's like being Behind Enemy Lines
3. Californian Styled
This CD was made for the Dufus gig on 8/5/5. 20 copies exist, each one hand-decorated with a different design by me and the Jones. If you bought this one we feel you should know that the profits bought us both an extremely nice chinese later that evening, so thanks very much!

pre-may 2005
I neglected to keep a record of the various demos I made before this period. Most of them contain the middle version of 'Leaf Fall Timetable', if memory serves. I know I made proper jewel cases for all of them, so they should light the path of truth for y'all.

'eat me out', she said, lowering her naked breasts over the other girl's well-oiled body. 'do it properly'.
